X Ambassadors: Our Pop, R&B, And Rock Daydream

Every December and January, artists rest up and regroup from the past year, leaving us with a huge lull in the music industry. After listening to our same favorite bands over and over, it’s nice to stumble upon a band like X Ambassadors. This band is unlike any other, combining pop, R&B, and alternative rock to create a sound so different you can’t help but listen.

The band is composed of brothers Sam (vocals, guitar) and Casey Harris (keyboard), Noah Feldshuh (guitar), and Adam Levin (drums). They began in Ithaca, New York and moved to Brooklyn where they caught their big break. Imagine Dragon’s lead singer Dan Reynolds heard an acoustic version of “Unconsolable”, their first single, on a local radio station and asked Interscope to sign the band. The band toured with Imagine Dragons, Jimmy Eat World, and The Mowglis to begin promoting their music. X Ambassadors were even a featured artist on Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Influences of X Ambassadors include The Fugees, Tribe, De La, Biggie, Blackstar, Blackstreet, Jagged Edge, 112, Aaliyah, TLC, Destiny’s Child, Missy Elliott and Timbo. For fans of American Authors, Walk the Moon, Imagine Dragons, Ra Ra Riot, The 1975, and Haim, please listen below.

Here is their newest single and our current favorite:
