I Visited The Real Halloweentown (And All My DCOM Dreams Came True)

Our favorite Disney Channel Original movie has come to life making dreams come true throughout the entire month of October.

Located just 30 minutes outside of Portland, the city of St. Helens Oregon, where the classic first movie was filmed, has recreated the magical set for the perfect fall photo-ops.

Beginning October 1st, the Spirit of Halloweentown  has events throughout the entire month kicking off with the giant pumpkin lighting by our favorite witch Marnie.

Actress Kimberley J. Brown lights the candle, poses for photos with eager fans, holds meet and greets, and judges a costume contest.

Other events include a Haunted Hot Rod and Hearse Rally, seances, pumpkin carving contests, and a meet and greet with Anya and Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. A complete list of events are listed here.

Halloweentown is free to visit and take photos but events vary in price.

To feed your excitement, there are delicious restaurants throughout the town and a few vendors set up in the square including the Northwest’s famous Dutch Bros coffee.

The city of St. Helens is just as excited as you are and has decorated the entire town in scary decor throughout the streets that lead you to the Halloweentown square.
