OMG: Adele’s New Album Comes Out In Less Than A Month

The Queen of soul pop is back.

The incredibly talented British singer, Adele is back with a new album after a four-year hiatus. Adele’s highly anticipated third album 25 comes out on November 20, and if you ask me, the wait has been four years too long.

Adele’s first album 19 debuted in 2008 and earned the singer two Grammy awards for Best New Artists and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Similarly to her first album, her second release 21 was incredibly popular. The album debuted in 2011 and earned Adele a whopping six Grammy awards and set many records. Adele became the first woman in the history of Billboard Hot 100 to have three top 10 singles simultaneously, and the first woman to have two albums in the top five of Billboard 200. Oh and Time magazine named her one of the most influential people in the world. Basically, the release of Adele’s second album won the world over. Also, she’s a badass.

With a booming voice and a song style that is distinctly her own, fans couldn’t wait for her next studio album. In 2012 after the success of her second album, Adele confirmed she’d work on a new album, but it wouldn’t be released for several years. Adele had a baby and continued working on her third album, but said she struggled with writing it and thought it would never be done.

In an open letter on Twitter, Adele spoke about 25 and described it as a “make-up record.” She said, “25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realizing. And I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened.”

Adele, you can take as long as you want to make albums if they keep sounding as beautiful and glorious as they always do.

Be sure to check out her recently debuted single, “Hello.”
