Meet Chelsea Moore, Sabena Suri, and Jennifer Olivero- the brains behind BOXFOX (pictured below).  After graduating from UCLA and USC, this power trio was inspired to find a way to stay connected with friends and family. So, together, the women created BOXFOX as the perfect way to maintain relationships and celebrate moments with friends that, post-graduation, were now spread all across the country.

Thanks to the ladies of BOXFOX, picking out the best gifts for the best people in your life is now effortless.

Launching a company fresh out of college isn’t something most young women in their twenties can say they’ve accomplished, so here at the Lala, we can’t help but admire these ladies.

Check out what Chelsea, one of the three BOXFOX founders, had to say about BOXFOX and where it all began.

the Lala: How do you decide on the products in each box?

Chelsea: Tons of research! We build each box around a theme that can apply to many different milestones. We make sure that each box has a balance between substantial gifts and unique, personal items. We’re lucky to have so many great brands on board to create a box of products that truly complement each other.

the Lala: What’s the hardest part of starting a business at such a young age?

Chelsea: I imagine starting a business at any age is a challenge, but being younger has its own special set of obstacles. Having conviction and dedication to face any challenge (and naysayer) head on and teach yourself everything you need to know on the fly is a must!

the Lala: Most rewarding part?

Chelsea: Getting to spend every day putting my heart and soul into something I believe in. Challenging myself to take this company to each and every new level.

the Lala: How did college help prepare you for running your own business?

Chelsea: I studied Political Science and English at UCLA and had a wide variety of internships. The college experience taught me balance, to think critically and how to deal with tons of different personality types.

the Lala: What do you see for the future of BOXFOX?

Chelsea: We hope to offer gift boxes for every occasion imaginable and to offer more opportunities for customization and personalization.

the Lala: What advice do you have for another young person aspiring to start their own company?

Chelsea: I don’t know if I’m at a place to dish out advice yet, but if there’s something you’re passionate about, don’t take no for an answer.
